Alabama accent?

Hi there. Yesterday was a difficult day with regards to therapy, so after the girls went to bed we had a nice dinner, including a birthday cake, and ate it too!

This morning everything was fine again, Maya was in a much better mood and wasn't just great in therapy, but learned 8 new English words as well. She copied them from Bible Belt Brittny, much to her father's dismay! We made a list: eyes, clock, nose, mouth, bus, fish, star and thanks. And poes (the Dutch word for cat). She also came up with a 2-word sentence (for those of you without children: this is an important milestone, especially for stressed-out parents who have been afraid for months that their child would still only be able to say 'mama' at the age of 18). The sentence was: 'Daag, car' ('daag' meaning bye-bye in Dutch). Such a profound first sentence.
