In the finishing straight

These last few days, Maya suddenly seems to make a lot of progress. Or perhaps we only notice it now!

Here is an (incomplete) list of things she does now, which she didn't do 4 weeks ago:

1. When she falls, she uses her right arm to break the fall and lands on the palm of her hand
2. She can hold on to the handle of a cart to push it
3. She can (often) open her fingers, and (sometimes) separates her pointer
4. She can push and turn her arm through a sleeve, or out of the straps of a seat
5. She (often) uses both arms to pull up to something
6. She can pick up a small object
7. She can turn the pages of a book with her fingers, rather than with her hand in a fist

In this video you can see how Maya uses her pointer to finger paint:

In this video you can see her pushing a cart:

And last but not least, enjoying a much deserved snack with papa, after a trip to the shopping center. Milkshakes from Johnny Rockets rock!

  2. I would like to order one right-hand-finger-painting for her friend Mats, he would like one to hang it on his closet (his own little museum of big arts). big kiss to all, Sol&Mats
